Caribbean Association of Banks (CAB) 2015 Conference

Highgate sponsored the Caribbean Association of Banks Inc. 42nd AGM & Conference from November 11th – 14th, 2015 at the Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino, St. Kitts. These conferences are designed for the benefit of Caribbean financial institutions and delivered by the Caribbean Association of Banks. It brings together participants with a special interest in meeting the needs of clients in the Caribbean Region, and Highgate has been a major sponsor for many years.

As always, we met with old friends and made many new ones. Regulations change, technology evolves, but the friendships made at CAB do not. Through two days of useful presentations and discussions attendees learned more about the challenges facing their regions and the ways that Highgate Systems can help to address them.

CAB 2016 is already in planning, and as has always been the case, Highgate will be there.

MASSY SIGNS WITH HIGHGATE!

We are pleased to announce that Massy Credit Plus Ltd. (Massy), which currently operates in Trinidad and Barbados, has selected our Highgate Banking and ESPLink ™ Suite of financial services products.

Our ESP-Link™ Suite of technology manages ATM terminals and provides transaction switching (acquiring) services for both domestic and international transactions. Along with Collection Management, the AMS product provides real-time SMS alerts for things such as customer transaction activity to registered smartphones and much more.

With this new technology, Massy Credit Plus Ltd. (Massy) will now be able to provide their customers with real-time loan and credit payments, decisions on credit and to communicate directly with their customers via SMS and much more.

Highgate Systems Inc. confirms its first Alpha Banking customer as SNPSF in Comoros goes live

Toronto, Canada and Moroni, Comoros 25 August 2014 – Highgate Systems Inc. today announced that La Société Nationale des Postes et des Services Financiers (SNPSF) has successfully implemented its new Alpha Banking application across its branch network.

Forty-four (44) branches are now ‘live’ on Alpha Banking as the Bank’s core technology platform.

SNPSF is the first commercial bank to implement Highgate’s new banking system, which is ideally suited to the needs of financial institutions around the world. The implementation at SNPSF was completed in August 2014 and the bank is already using it to process all transactions and deliver services to its customers.

Using its powerful product configuration capabilities, SNPSF can deliver products that exactly meet the needs of both personal and commercial customers. Alpha Banking also meets the control and compliance needs of the Bank. The functionality is straightforward and real-time access to data means the Bank knows where it stands at all times.

“With the implementation of Alpha Banking we begin a new era in the delivery of innovative and customer-focused financial services to the people of Comoros,” said Chief Information Officer Houssein Moussa. “We were looking for a modern, stable platform and after a careful review of the market concluded that Highgate Banking would provide the high quality service our customers deserve, while at the same time allowing us to operate with maximum efficiency. Our plans now include rolling it out in our offices in Paris and Marseilles, France in the near future.”

2014 Client Conference

Our Client Conference was a complete success. We brought together banking and financial industry experts from around the globe. The conference was held August 12th -15th at the Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel and Conference Centre in Toronto.

Our ‘Building Your Business’ theme drove the discussion, and was accentuated by presentations from renowned banking specialists. With representatives from Africa, Middle East, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean the conversations were wide-ranging and the sharing of learning was a help to everyone who attended.

Highgate Systems announces Alpha Banking!

It’s here. Our customers have told us what they need, and Highgate has delivered.

Highgate Systems is proud to announce the rollout of its new banking platform, Alpha Banking. Our first new customer – never before a Highgate client – is already ‘up and running’ in a 44-branch environment, and we are in the process of delivering the second implementation to another new customer.

Alpha Banking is both ‘evolutionary’ and ‘revolutionary’. It builds on the capabilities of the current Highgate Banking system using Highgate’s knowledge of customer requirements and the needs they have expressed to us. At the same time, it makes use of modern technology to deliver a flexible, customer-configurable system that Highgate’s clients can use as they require to build their businesses.

Alpha Banking was demonstrated at the recent Highgate Customer Conference in Toronto and attendees there were universally excited by the potential of this new system.
New features include:

Platform Independence – there is no longer a requirement for a specific family of servers to run Highgate Banking. Customers can choose the technology platform they wish to run on. From a large server to a laptop – Alpha Banking will run on them all. The technology platform has now become a choice driven by transaction volumes, business needs, and staff expertise.

A Browser-Based Interface – users need only have access to one of the popular browsers to use Alpha Banking. There is no requirement for any software to be installed on user machines.

Operating System Independence – clients may select an operating system that best meets their needs. Windows or Linux? It doesn’t matter – pick what works for your organization.

Database Independence – choose the database you wish to use.

General Ledger Independence – Alpha Banking has been architected to permit clients to choose the General Ledger they wish. It will then be integrated into the banking system and will provide staff with the ability to operate in a financial environment of their choosing.

Ready Integration to ‘Best of Breed’ Solutionswhen clients require something special to meet their business needs, Alpha Banking will readily integrate to a third party solution to incorporate that functionality into the Alpha environment.

Of course, all the Highgate customer channel features are available – ATM, POS, Internet Banking, and Mobile Banking as well as new products like the Alert Management Server, ICMS Delinquency Management system and International Debit Cards.

With the first customer ‘live’ and the second in implementation, Alpha Banking is ready to move forward in the marketplace. Of course, the needs of each Highgate customer are unique, and we will work with each user to configure the system to meet their specific requirements. As new modules and functionality are added, the system will grow in power, offering more and more capabilities to Highgate’s customers.
